The PLAX SYSTEM is based on ISO (International Standards Organization) "A"series paper sizes.
A SERIES
Based on A0 (841 x 1189 mm), equal to 1 square metre in area. Each smaller size A1, A2, A3, A4 is equal to half the area of the preceding larger size.
A feature of the series is that the proportion of adjacent sides to each other is constant in every size. Namely 1v2
If the shorter side is doubled or the longer halved, the new size is still in the same proportion. This offers advantages in the preparation of copy as any size in the series can be obtained from one original by enlargement or reduction.
